Tuatara Wows Enthusiasts at 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance

MONTEREY, CA - Shelby SuperCars (SSC), American super car manufacturer of the Ultimate Aero and newly unveiled Tuatara, attended the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on Sunday. Perched atop Pebble Beach’s famed Concept Lawn, SSC's next generation supercar shone brightly in the California sun, while burning images of the hypercar's unforgettable silhouette into the minds of every spectator who approached.

Having been unveiled publicly for the first time only one week prior in Shanghai China, the Tuatara was rushed back to the United States as thousands of automobile enthusiasts eagerly awaited the first domestic unveiling in Monterey, California.

The Tuatara enjoyed a very successful showing, thanks in large part to the feedback received from the automobile fans that stopped by to catch a glimpse of the highly anticipated hypercar due to hit the streets in the spring of 2013.

In addition to receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback, a handful of accomplished collectors have initiated the pre-order process to become the proud owner of one of the first Tuataras.

So what's next?

SSC will continue developing the Tuatara – finalizing all performance aspects of the vehicle, along with perfecting an interior worthy of pairing with such a stunning façade. Once all 'production vehicle' standards are met, and inspections are completed, SSC will be thrilled to take a trip across the pond to run the Tuatara at Germany's Nürburgring – the pinnacle of all road courses.

You can expect the Tuatara to up the ante on all levels. Drivers of any SSC vehicle have come to expect the world's ultimate performance automobiles. These rigid standards will be met, and nothing less will be accepted by the engineers at SSC.
